Recycled Silk, Cashmere, Wool & Cotton
Recycled silk, - cashmere & - wool is made from pre-consumer waste. Pre-consumer waste comes from any excess material created during the steps of material- and product manufacturing, e.g. selvage from weaving, fabric from factory cutting rooms, or excess production and unsold items that might normally be disposed of as waste. The used materials are shredded back into fiber form and spun into renewed yarns and knitted/woven into fabrics.
Recycled Polyester
Recycled polyester is made from consumer- or industrial waste materials such as used plastic bottles and apparel. Overall material that would otherwise have been sent to a landfill or for incineration. Recycled polyester requires fewer processing stages, reduces CO2 emissions, and consumes less energy during the production process compared to regular polyester.
